With few exceptions, ownership of large exotic cats, such as lions, tigers, cougars and panthers is now federally prohibited. Owners of large exotic cats with FDA permits must present a copy of the permit before the examination can be scheduled.

All exotic cats must arrive in a secure locked squeeze cage or a locked enclosure small enough to allow injections of sedatives and anesthetics.  Our staff will not examine or handle any conscious large exotic cat without sedation, with the exception of young under the age of a few months, at the doctor’s discretion.  There are no exceptions, and non-compliance will mean the patient will be turned away.

UNDERSTAND THAT WE DO NOT SEE THESE TYPES OF PETS COMMONLY, SO OUR SERVICES MAY BE LIMITED DUE TO WEIGHT LIMITS AND PREPARATION TIME
