Jackie’s Memorial Fund

Sometimes the smallest creatures take up the most room in our hearts. For Meg and Cam, that was Jackie. For 21 years, "mommy's precious angel boy" ruled the roost-yelling at hats, turning Cheerios to dust, wooing the ladies, and biting painted fingernails. His sudden passing has been devastating for everyone who knew him, but none so much as the Richmond flock.

While Jackie wasn’t technically a rescue himself, he served as Meg and Cam’s gateway drug into the world of exotic animal rescue. He inspired his parents to help countless other birds (and the odd tortoise, guinea pig, or rabbit) find a safe haven and eventually their forever homes.

In Jackie’s memory, Meg and Cam have asked for donations towards our newest animal rescue project: Indianapolis’ first wildlife rehabilitation hospital. While it’s still in the planning phases, we hope to have it up an running within the next 6 months and any donations will help smooth that process.
